CRIME VICTIM ADVOCACY CENTER of ST. LOUIS
|
Our cause is just, our need is real, our
request is direct:
please contribute.

CVAC is a private, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that relies on the generosity of community friends and
supporters to help crime victims throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area. The individuals and families
we help are your family members, friends, and neighbors. Crime is not random...but its victims often are.
The person we help next could be you or someone you love.
In 2006, less than 10% of all crimes reported in the St. Louis metropolitan region resulted in arrest.
Because criminal justice-supported victim services specifically help those whose crime is linked to the
arrest of an offender, the remaining 90% of crime victims have no other resource to turn to than CVAC
for comprehensive victim assistance. We are often their only link to financial assistance, mental health
resources and other such services necessary to restore them to their new sense of "normal."
Crime occurs most in communities where the average income is under $7,500 annually...and the majority
of these families have no insurance (property or health) and few resources to combat the traumatic
effect of crime. CVAC is deeply committed to helping individuals and families in these communities
dismantle the link between poverty and crime.
We hope you will consider contributing to CVAC. Your gift of any size will help considerably in providing
thousands in St. Louis overcome the trauma of violence. For more information or to donate to CVAC,
