Crime Victim Advocacy Center recognizes that the details of
crime are an important factor in public information and safety.
We are dedicated to working with media professionals to report
on crime in our area while respecting the needs of both victims
and law enforcement.  CVAC provides the following media-based
services:

Commentary on Crime:  CVAC advocates are available to provide
first-hand and expert commentary on a variety of victim-related issues
and/or to comment on a specific crime.

Training for Media Professionals on topics such as:
      - Victim Sensitivity
      - Working with law enforcement to access victims and incident
        information
      - Ethical reporting standards
      - and more...

Interview Accompaniment:  In particularly difficult situations, a CVAC
advocate may accompany media professionals when interviewing the
victim to both offer support to the victim and increase the victim's comfort
level with the interview.
