Court Order of Protection Assistance
Victim Advocates in the Court Order of Protection Assistance Program work in partnership with the St. Louis City and County Family Courts to assist petitioners who going through the Order of Protection process. These advocates work on-site in the St. Louis City and St. Louis County courthouse to ensure that advocacy and support is available to victims of abuse petitioning for Orders of Protection. In addition, these advocates work closely with our Legal Program and our Domestic Violence Advocates to provide court advocacy to victims.
The Court Order of Protection Assistance Program began in 1999 and these programs serve as resources for judges, Adult Abuse Clerks, other court personnel, and law enforcement.
